The Oil Cleansing Method and a Great Deal on Castor Oil
If you use the oil cleansing method to wash your face, you will want to check out this deal. Amazon has NOW Solutions Castor Oil, 100 % Pure, 16 ounce for as low as $6.11 with Subscribe and Save.
The current Amazon price is $7.19 for the 16-ounce bottle. Save 5-15% when you use the Subscribe and Save option.
I usually purchase castor oil at Walmart because it is the only place I can find it locally. This price even beats Walmart.
I have been using the oil cleansing method for over a year now and I love it. If you've never tried it, you can read about it here.

A Fresh Scent for the Vacuum
Today's task on the 30 Day House Cleaning Challenge is to sweep or vacuum the house. I took it up a notch today and added a clean invigorating scent to the vacuuming. It's so easy!
Just put a few drops of essential oil on a cotton ball and toss it into your vacuum cleaner bag. Any scent will do. I used some lemon grass essential oil that I purchased at Amazon. It released a fresh clean scent as I vacuumed.
I'm {almost} looking forward to vacuuming again!

The First Thing You See (when you arrive home)
When you enter your house, what is the first thing you see? Is it an organized, welcoming area, or is it piles of shoes, backpacks, and mail?
Often, we pay more attention to the main entrance of our home (the one seldom used?) than to the entry that our family uses.
In the spirit of the 30 day home cleaning challenge, I am sharing today the one area of my home that usually does remain tidy. It's my "one thing" that I {almost}always keep clean. Fly Lady has her kitchen sink, I have my entry.
I'm still working on the rest of the house, but when I walk in the door after a long day at work, I am {usually}welcomed by an organized entry.
What's your "one thing" that must be done first on cleaning day?

How to Clean Your Shower Curtain Liner
As part of the 30 Day Housecleaning Challenge, I did surface cleaning in the bathrooms today. In addition to the surface cleaning, I decided to tackle the plastic shower curtain liner in one of the bathrooms.
We have a Maytex No More Mildew Shower Curtain Liner, It's a heavy duty clear liner.
I just throw the plastic liner in the washing machine with some towels, regular detergent and a cup of vinegar. The liner in the photo has been washed in this manner many times and it always comes out great.
If you have a shower curtain liner and are looking for a way to keep the water in the shower, I highly recommend these wonderful little plastic devices. They come in a set of two and they really work.
Get Shower Splash Guards for just $7.99.

Armed with my list of five tasks for the day (you can read why I love lists here), I started cleaning bright and early today. Here is my list of laundry room tasks:
