In a small saucepan over high heat, combine 1/2 cup vinegar and 1 cup water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
Here are some other methods you may want to try:
- Instead of vinegar, simmer a combination of baking soda and water.
- Place a small bowl of vinegar near the stove and let sit for a few hours, or overnight.
- Open your windows and turn on the whole-house fan to get the air circulating.
- Clean or replace your oven hood filter.
